Wacom Bamboo Create: A Great Tablet for Artists

The Wacom Bamboo Create is an excellent beginner’s and semi-professional tablet. Despite slightly worse sensitivity specs on the pen area, it produces great results and is really comfortable for drawing. The biggest advantage of this tablet is its price range ($199+ or less) and a large drawing area that is touch-capable. That’s right, you can pinch to zoom, scroll and even tap with just your finger.

On Wednesday, Wacom announced its newest additions to its line of pen tablets, the Bamboo Connect, Bamboo Capture, and Bamboo Create. The Bamboo series has a tablet for professionals, for enthusiasts and for hobbyists alike, designed to make drawing on a computer even better.

The $79.95 Bamboo Connect is designed for marking up or signing documents, sketching, and taking notes. It’s a thin, black tablet, and comes bundled with a pen and Autodesk Sketchbook Express software, a tool for drawing and editing that’s neither as powerful nor as complex as Photoshop. It also integrates with Microsoft Office, to let you do some basic editing within documents themselves.
